"After two extensive shoulder surgeries, I had external voices trying to convince me to steer clear of CrossFit. "It's too aggressive", "The movements, along with the heavy weights, will re-injure your shoulders", "You're too old to start that kind of training"... but after my initial consult with Julie (my personal trainer), I decided to give it a shot.
One year into it, I am stronger, both physically and mentally, than I have been in my life. Between Julie and her husband Trent, another coach/trainer, they have personalized and scaled my workouts to provide me with challenging and exhaustive workouts.
